Pier Park Crossings breaks ground
The St. Joe Company and HomeCorp broke ground last week on a 240-unit apartment complex located off North Pier Park Drive adjacent to Frank Brown Park. The one, two, and three-bedroom units will be open in early 2019. The development of Pier Park Crossings brings an affordable housing option to the west end of the sandy beach and is convenient for those working in Pier Park.
St. Joe President and CEO Jorge Gonzalez said the complex is in a great location "one-half block to 1.5 million square feet of retail and entertainment."
Apartments, which will have metal roofs, screened porches, 9-foot ceilings, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and vinyl plank flooring, will rent from approximately $900 to $1,900. There will also be a clubhouse with a salt-water pool.
This is the second apartment complex currently under construction in the city. Parkside Apartments at 17225 Panama City Beach Parkway, will have 288 units when completed. It is located just west of the Municipal Complex.
