PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE: Affected areas: All streets north of Panama City Beach Parkway and west of Highway 79.
Due to a water main break 11/22/17, the water supply was interrupted and once repaired, you may experience discolored water approximately 24 hours after your water has been restored. As a precaution, we advise all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled and a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. This notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, WWTF Influent Piping Repacement Project

 

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING  – WWTF INFLUENT PIPING REPLACEMENT

There will be a mandatory, pre-bid conference for this project on November 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the City of Panama City Beach City Hall, 110 South Arnold Road, Panama City Beach, Florida 32413.  Point of Contact will be Mark Shaeffer, P.E., City of Panama City Beach Utilities Department; 116 South Arnold Road, Panama City Beach, Florida, 32413 Email mshaeffer@pcbgov.com.  Telephone (850)233-5054, extension 2321 or Fax (850)233-5116.  Each bidder must comply with all applicable state and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida.

Bids will be received until 2:30 p.m. Central Time, December 5, 2017 at City of Panama City Beach City Hall, 110 South Arnold Road, Panama City Beach, Florida, 32413 and will be opened and read publicly immediately thereafter. All Bids shall be submitted in an envelope clearly marked “Sealed Bid – Panama City Beach WWTF Influent Piping Replacement”.  A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the Bid shall accompany the Bid.  The City of Panama City Beach (“City”) reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.  All Bids shall be firm (including all labor and material prices) for a period of 30 days after opening.

This project includes the removal and replacement of various sections of piping and fittings at the City’s wastewater treatment facility (WWTF).  Construction includes the removal and replacement of approximately 660 combined linear feet of 6-,12-, 30-, 36-, and 48-inch diameter piping, fittings and valves.   All pipe and fittings are to be provided by the City.  Quantities are subject to change.  The Contractor shall provide all incidentals equipment and labor to complete the project.   Plans and specifications will be available November 6, 2017 and can be obtained or examined at the City of Panama City Beach Utilities Department at 116 South Arnold Road, Panama City Beach, Florida 32413. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, with respect to Public Entity Crimes.  There will be no cost for Plans and Specifications (digital copy only on CD).  Partial sets will NOT be issued.
